Margarette Harper
| Lead Coach
As the Lead Coach for U.S. Grant Coaches, Inc., Margarette Harper travels throughout the country with her husband, George,
as her Road Manager. She teaches churches, ministries and non-profits the art of PARA® (Planning for, Asking, Receiving and
Administering grant funds). As a Certified Small Business Management Counselor for the SBA's Small Business Development
Center, Margarette assists startup entities in the areas of loan acquisition, government contracting, CEO coaching, minority
certification, and international trade. Her focus with U.S. Grant Coaches, Inc. is to give churches and ministries the tools
necessary to make a greater impact on society.
With experience from non-profit agencies and state governments, Margarette offers a wealth knowledge. In fact, she's
successfully written grant proposals for agencies totaling more than $20 million. Her experience also includes grants
management, curriculum development, board training, organizational and small business development. Those who have worked
with her believe that she's a "natural".
Her career began in 1985 as a grant researcher for a non-profit health clinic in Brooklyn, NY. Back when the
world-wide-web was non-existent and most research was done at the local libraries using catalog cards, microfiche
and printed research journals, Margarette was honing her craft.
Margarette graduated from The Potter's House School of Ministry and currently serves as a licensed minister at The
Potter's House Church in North Texas where T.D. Jakes presides as Bishop. Margarette holds degrees in Business
Administration from Nassau College and Interdisciplinary Studies from Old Dominion University. She expects to
earn her Master's Degree in Comparative and International Border Development at the University of Texas at Arlington.
When off the road, Margarette resides in Dallas, Texas. She and her husband, George, are proud parents of three
children and two grandchildren.
